Gave myself blisters trying to find a way across George Street in the city - it was all fenced off for the St. Patrick's Day parade. And no: I didn't have any green Guinness. I was at the QVB there for something called "high tea" with Jordan. Talk about Irish-English rivalry. *g*

Skipping tutorials on Wednesday to see a matinee of Tim Supple's version of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Sydney Theatre. The multilingual production is performed in English, Tamil, Malayalan, Sinhalese, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi and Sanskrit, by a cast from across India and Sri Lanka. If anyone's in the vicinity, you'll see me at the upstairs bar nursing a chardonnay.

A new film adaptation of Huxley's dystopian classic Brave New World is in works, produced by George DiCaprio and starring his son, Leonardo, directed by Ridley Scott with a screenplay by Andrew Nicholls. (LA Times)

Carla Gugino will star opposite Dwayne Johnson in Disney's Race to Witch Mountain. A remake of the 1975 film, the story concerns a brother and sister, each of whom possess paranormal powers, trying to elude capture by a group of men who want to exploit them. Alexander Ludwig (The Seeker: The Dark is Rising) and AnnaSophia Robb (Bridge to Terabithia) play the psychic siblings.
