Blood Ties picspam. Pictures from episodes 1x03 and 1x04.

Intimate half-threatening touching. Better get used to it, because they do that a lot.

Shiny hair! And DIMPLE!

Hey... Dimple here too.

Like that red bar at the back. It's so...vein-like.

Do I ship? In the books, I do. Here...I just like them because they look so good together.

This voodoo priest or whatever you call him made me wince. The chair of bones? The shiny outfit? He looked like he was playing dress up. But this shot was perfect - spooky and sinister.

And dude! How cool was Angelique!

Angelique again.

And here... The actress was outstanding.

Favourite moment, Henry's helplessness as sunrise comes. Just a simple shot, with no words, but saying so much.

Second favourite moment! Enshrined in my icon, made by [info]randomlaughter.

Sometimes this show is just so cheesy. Then it gives you a great moment like this...

I'm warming up to Coreen. Plus, her vampire-crush is totally adorable.

Henry, stop insisting on calling them "graphic novels". You sound like a comic book snob. Oh wait. You are a snob. My mistake.

I like looking at her. So sue me.

I want to congratulate the director and cinematographer who shot this whole nightclub sequence, because MY GOD it's so gorgeous and sexy.

They have a real thing about wire fences in this show. I suspect it might be the TV show/filmmaker's version of shellac - what you use to add texture when you can't afford to dress it in detail. La Femme Nikita used to do the same thing.

Henry looks peeved. Tanya Huff's Henry wouldn't be peeved at being interrupted by Vicki during a meal. I don't know which Henry I like more now.

"You've changed."

At least he doesn't say: "I've met someone..."

I like this cap, can't quite say why.

This one too...

...and this.

Henry's cross!

Just...guh.

Mike is getting the short end of the straw, being stuck with all the conventional "conversation" shots. But this one is pretty neat.

OMPH! I feel I need to watch this show. Is it a story about supernatural? I haven't heard about this show before and your screencaps are so intriguing.

It is indeed about the supernatural. In fact, I've quite a few people comparing it (favourably) to The Dresden Files, another "P.I. solves supernatural cases" show that's been on the air just a couple of months longer than Blood Ties. Here is its official website. My primer for the show (with screencaps) is <http://the-grynne.livejournal.com/328158.html">over here</a>.

Hi Grynne,

The link to your Blood Ties primer doesn't work - help?

I mistyped the tag, but the url is sound. Here it is again: http://the-grynne.livejournal.com/328158.html.

Found it, thanks - I thought it would be picspam too. Love picspam :-)
Do you mind if I link to your picspam on my website, http://www.bloodtiescentral.com?

Yay!

The first sequel is good too.

God, you watched LFN, too? You truly are my hero.
28th-Mar-2007 09:50 pm (UTC)
I LOVE LFN! That's how you end a series, folks - bringing it back for the fans, and making me bawl my eyes out. :D
29th-Mar-2007 12:42 am (UTC)
Holy crap, YES. I couldn't believe they actually created a 5th season to pacify the fan, but GOD do I love that show. SO much.

Coincidentally, that show has given me a Michael complex, and every guy I've liked in the past 6 years has had that name. Creepy, lol.

Or fans, rather.

I was going to say something coherant and interested, oh, I was going to say, this sounds interesting, but maybe I want to read the books? only then you mentioned LFN and alkdfjlakdjflkajdf.

I am helpless in the face of Section One.

LFN was probably my first bona fide TV fandom. I was so head over heels for that show. It used to air after midnight on a school night, and I'd always sneak out of bed to watch it. :)

Me too! And I used to tape it without the ads (I had it down to an art) which was why my mum turned a blind eye - it meant the next day she could watch the episode.

I was so buggered the next day, though.
